How To apply your stickers
Materials You'll Need:
- Sticker or decal
- The surface you want to apply the sticker to (clean and dry)
- A credit card or squeegee (optional)
- A clean cloth or paper towel
Instructions:
-
Check the conditions: Make sure that you are applying your decal in suitable conditions. Wind and temperature can play a big factor in applying your stickers correctly. Avoid installing in direct sunlight, ensure that the surface temperature does not exceed 30 Degrees Celcius. Avoid Installing in windy or gusty areas as this can create accidents, particularly in larger decals and Stickers.
-
Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface where you want to apply the sticker is clean and dry. Wipe it with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove any dust, dirt, or moisture. Do not use chemicals such as Windex or Rainex to clean the surface, as these can deteriorate the adhesive on the sticker.
-
Remove the Backing:Β Holding the sticker in place, slowly and carefully peel away the backing paper (if it has one). Start at one corner and peel it off at a sharp angle, keeping the sticker adhered to the application tape.
-
Position the Sticker:Β Hold the sticker with the application tape side facing you. Carefully position it on the desired location on the surface. Gently press it down, but don't apply too much pressure just yet. This allows for minor adjustments if needed.
-
Secure the Sticker:Β Once the sticker is in the desired position, use your fingers to press the center of the sticker onto the surface, making sure it adheres in the middle. This step helps anchor the sticker in place.
-
Smooth Out the Sticker: As you continue to peel off the backing paper, use a credit card or squeegee to smooth out the sticker from the center outward. This helps remove any air bubbles and ensures good adhesion to the surface.
-
Remove Application Tape: Once the sticker is firmly adhered to the surface, gently start peeling off the application tape. Pull it back at a sharp angle, close to the surface, Tip: You can use your credit card or squeegee to create surface tension.Β This should be done slowly to ensure the sticker remains in place.
-
Press Down Edges: After removing the application tape, check the edges of the sticker to make sure they are securely adhered. If any part is lifting, press it down with your fingers or use the credit card to gently smooth it out.
-
Let It Set: Allow the sticker to set for 24 hours before exposing it to water, extreme temperatures, or heavy handling.
